Near Miss

At a charity match Viv Richards was in majestic form and hit the ball all over and, indeed, out of the ground. After a sparkling innings he was caught on the boundary and as he was making his way back to the pavilion he was confronted by an irate spectator. 

'You sir, should be more careful,' said the man, 'you only just missed hitting my wife.' 

'I'm awfully sorry,' smiled Viv as he walked on.
